Niles couple banned from Wal-Mart after dispute over BIC lighters

The highlights:
* WalMart employees accuse gay couple of stealing, despite receipts in hand.
* WalMart manager refuses to speak to them or review video footage.
* Police are called at gay couple's insistance.
* Police HANDCUFF and put gay couple in squad car without any questioning.
* Gay couple's SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN are put in a detention room by employees without permission, injuring one child in the process.
* When gay couple is finally proven innocent, WalMart refused to apologize and BANNED THEM FOR LIFE from any WalMart store for "being uncooperative".
* Meanwhile, the children were being verbally threatened in the back room while alone with the security guards, being told their daddies were bad people.
* Police refused to take statements from the children about what had happened to them.
* The couple were then told they had to leave WalMart immediately or be arrested for trespassing.
* The couple's attempts to press criminal charges were refused; the couple's attempts to meet personally with the Sheriff were also refused.
*The kicker? WalMart is suing them for 10x the price of the item that THEY HAD A RECEIPT FOR. Why? No one is certain... But they still won't apologize or claim any fault in traumatizing of the special needs children.
Needless to say, Wal-Mart will not be getting any more of our business. WalMart has a history of being rude and uncooperative to minorities and those who are "different", but this is beyond ridiculous. Threatening kids because they were adopted by gay parents? No. Sorry. That's crossed my threshold for idiocy. Pass the word along.
